Dana “Bliss” White (b.1992 Newark, NJ) is an artist and photographer currently based in Charlotte, North Carolina. His engagement with environmental portraiture and travel documentation allows the photographic medium to become a tool for introspection and familial cultural exploration. Between the rhythmic works that flow from festivals and celebrations honoring ancestors, to the slow paced, meditative vistas of the natural world, White aims to blur the line between story telling and documentation. Crafting narratives that honor the lands on which we walk and the cultures from which we come, White’s body of work is a visual testament to communion and connection. White has created and shown photographic works at Gaston College, The Light Factory, McColl Center for Art + Innovation, Goodyear Arts, and The Mint Museum.
